End of my challenge

Hello everyone I'm sorry but I have to end my 31 day challenge early, the reason for this is that two of the question's I can't answer and I'm also spending some time with my boyfriend and son this Easter holiday. So I will end the challenge by saying I really enjoyed it and I hope you enjoyed reading it and getting to know more about me. Please do keep reading my blog I will be adding many things from rants to recipes to just letting you all know what I have been up too.

Today I have done something different I spent the morning with Liam and we went to swimming pool had a little swim then spent some time in the steam room which was very warm but nice. When we came home we did Liam's home brew beer (ready in 2 weeks) then I done my nails and used this new stuff called nail seeds they are little balls that you put on your wet nail varnish they are kind of tricky to do but once they are on they look pretty good. I bought mine from B & M bargains I had never seen them before so for £1.35 I thought yeah why not, but I have seen them for sale in Internationale for £6.99 so I reckon I will stick with my cheap one as they look good. Hope you all have a great Easter and I will be posting again either Sunday or Monday xxx

Leeds Trinity

Leeds Trinity is the new shopping center, I went for a visit on the weekend just gone and I personally didn't like it. It was very cold although it has a roof the entrances are completely open so when the wind blows you feel it. There are some new shops in the center that Leeds didn't have before like the Lego shop and the apple store, but other then that it is just the same shops as before and many of the shops are expensive they have a Pandora next to Swarovski. To say how much they spent on building the place I was very disappointed that they only had to lifts and a handful of escalators taking you to the upper floors. There aren't really any baby feeding facilities they do have a room where you can sit but it is very small and it is only bottle feeding, one women was feeding her child in the room where you change babies bums and this is where we had to feed our son. The eating facilities aren't brilliant either it consists of restaurants like YoSushi, Nandos and the burger co. the average shopper doesn't want to sit down at a table and wait for ages for an expensive plate of food, they could improve on this by maybe having a baguette shop or some kind of small shop that offers food on the go. Don't get me wrong the shopping center is a good idea and will be good for Leeds I just think they have tried to make it sound a lot better then it actually is and a lot of people on the facebook page have complained about how cold it is and other issues. If you have been to Leeds Trinity I would like to hear what you thought do you agree? and if your planning on going wrap up warm xxx

Day 25 & 26

Day 25 and I have to describe my location. Well what can I say about Wakefield it's a nothern city close to Leeds I personally would just call it a town. It has a prison which is big and it is high security, the city is a bit of an odd one it has nice bits next to not so nice bits. We have a rugby team called Wakefield Trinity Wildcats I'm not big on sport but I don't mind watching these guys (big muscly men in short). I wouldn't say it is the nicest area going but if you don't go near the rough areas you will be fine. There are a few small towns and villages surrounding Wakefield and some are nice little areas. Wakefield is known for it's drinking and the Westgate run which is a stretch of pubs and clubs not really my cup of tea but hey if your near and you like to drink you can now challenge yourself to tackle this. I have actually just came across an article about Wakefield and it amused me slightly, I would like to add that I don't hate Wakefield it just isn't my favorite place in the UK. (http://www.chavtowns.co.uk/2004/11/wakefield/)

Day 26 my favorite food this is easy it has always been Chinese food I love the noodles the rice and the sweet and sour chicken. I have a all you can eat Chinese buffet near me that I have been to a number of times and I eat nothing for the whole day if I know I'm going.
So I have caught up and I will get this review on Leeds Trinity done sorry it's taking so long.

Day 23 - 24

My son has been a bit of a handful so this is why my blog is running a little late but I'm up to date so lets get on with the challenge.

Day 23 asks about my hobbies, my hobby would be a mixture of drawing as I like to spend some time drawing I drew the beatles once that was cool I think its the background picture on my twitter I have added it below. I also enjoy writing if I get a good idea in my head (usually when I'm trying to sleep) I will go on a crazy imagination drive and create a full story in my head then I just need to write it out.

Day 24 my most embarrassing moment, oh dear there are a few most involve me being intoxicated lol. When I was in Germany I went to a foam party and loads of people had bought me drinks but I was at the drunk stage where your just that drunk you just keep drinking (you know what I mean) so I decided it would be a good idea to have a shot of sambuca when I hate the stuff well down the shot went and up came the contents of my stomach. There was a time when I was like 12 and I had some flare jeans on (2002 flare jeans rocked) and I was shopping in Telford when I raced my friends to the shop tammy girl as we were running i tripped on my jeans and slid along the floor on my belly I got up laughed with a bright red face and said 'I won't do that again' started running and did it again and slid all the way into the shop it was horrible everyone was staring and my mates were wetting themselves.

The Reading

Ok so on Thursday the 21st I had a reading done online. Basically the man can connect spiritually to the other side some people don't believe but I have always my Nan was into her tarot cards and went to a spiritualist church and also a very close friend of mine also does this. I have seen and heard things that I can't fully explain the reason behind why that happened. The start of my reading a few things were wrong and I felt a little let down and silly, he then mentioned he had a man with him who he felt was either a dad or grandad to me who had respiratory problems when he was alive and asthma, also the need to keep drinking as it helped with his breathing. This was spot on as it described my Grandad, he then went on to mention a apple tree that would of been in a garden (which my Grandad had). Some of you may be reading this and think come on it's all fake blah blah blah. He mentioned that a women in my family used to ride horses as a child and is currently talking about starting up again, after the reading I asked my mum if she was starting riding again and she confirmed that she is talking to a women about when she can go. Kevin (the medium) gave me the names Sarah which is my mum and Spike Milligan now when he said the names to me I had a shiver and was completely shocked to get a first name yes but the full name of someone I know was spooky. I had to e-mail the link to the reading to Spike's mum as she does all this and I knew she would think it was great.

I know many people think it's lame and fake but seriously just give it a shot, Kevin has no set price all he asks for is a donation which is done via Paypal. If you are skeptical then I really would suggest trying it, just so you know my facebook is set to private so he couldn't get any information off there and practically all he said you couldn't find on the internet anyway.  If you are interested in one then contact me and I will give you his facebook details so you can sort a reading out I would also like to hear about your readings if you have had one. xxx

Catch up

Hello Readers and fellow bloggers I've had a lot on so haven't been so dedicated as normal I'm going to catch up with the 31 day challenge and I hopefully I will have some time to tell you all about my reading I had of a medium I will just say WOW may even be able to post the link to the recording for you to hear.

Day 18
Where am I happiest, I'm most happiest when I'm with my friends and family down south I miss them all very much and I love visiting them all and re-visiting memories. I am happy where ever I am to be honest as I'm used to adjusting to places and I don't think places make a person happy as such it's more the feelings connected to the place. (You can see why I study psychology lol).

Day 19
5 Blogs I read
Rose Tinted World which is wrote by my cousin who also suggested the blogging world to me.
Fancy Desscapades It's a fun and helpful blog for fancy dress and dressing in general really.
Adventures of a yorkshire mummy its a parent blog which I really enjoy reading.
We all think differently
I'm counting UFO's
Do you have a blog? or can you recommend any always happy to read others blogs

Day 20
What do I collect I have just recently stop collecting it due to not having the time to carry on with the hobby but I was collecting the Crochet magazines and I was really enjoying them but it was so hard trying to find the time to crochet do uni cook clean and be a mum so I had to give it up as it was just £30 a month being wasted.

Day 21
My biggest fear, I'm petrified by spiders they are my kryptonite. If there is one in my path I freeze no matter the size of them I just can't move and I scream so loud. Once I had a rather large spider on my back and I was in my mums kitchen and I asked her if I had a spider on me (every tickle I think it's a spider) my mums response was "Don't move" so naturally I freaked out and whipped my top off threw it across the room and cried. So spiders are my biggest fear always will be I reckon I'm that paranoid I might get attacked by one I check corners of rooms before going in them.

Day 22
If I ever get a day when I'm home alone which is very very rare I'm kind of boring I have a bath, catch up on work and just relax and enjoy the peace.

Sorry I have been a bit lax a daisy lately but I haven't felt too good and just haven't had the time I will try and keep up to date I promise. I will post about the reading I had done and also my thoughts on the new shopping place in Leeds (Leeds Trinity) as taking a trip there tomorrow off to the 1D pop up shop xxx

Sloppy Joe!!

I'm a fan of American food, one of my favorites is Sloppy Joe. If your not sure what Sloppy Joe is then it's a bit like a burger and a bit like bolognese. I normally have potato wedges with mine salad and a corn on the cob. I used to buy the already done mixes for the Sloppy Joe and just add the mince but it was very expensive as I could only buy it online from people that had imported it. So here is a recipe that makes yummy scrummy Sloppy Joe I hope you will enjoy and if you have any tips or improvements to the recipe please leave me a comment and I will try them out and let you know what I think.

Ingredients
1 pound of lean ground beef
2oz of finely chopped onion
Chopped green pepper
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of yellow mustard
6oz of ketchup
3 teaspoons of brown sugar
salt and black pepper to taste

How to cook
1. Cook beef, onions and peppers on a medium heat until the mince has browned. Drain any liquid that is left.
2. Stir in the garlic powder, mustard, ketchup and brown sugar mix well. Reduce the heat and allow the mixture to simmer for about 30mins and add salt and pepper to your required taste.
3. Place in a bun and serve.

Why and when Day 17

Why and When did I start blogging......

I started just 18 Days ago (I'm a newbie) I guess I started because I always have things on my mind. I thought a blog would be good to share my thoughts, stories and tips. So far my blog has been just about me and my family but I will be adding some recipes and I know there are loads of fashion blogs but I may throw a few of my fashion loves and hates in the mix (and why the hell not!!). Since blogging I have found myself a little more relaxed, I can just switch my laptop on and type away and focus on my blogging topic. Sorry it's only a short one today but I don't know what else I could say without boring you all xxx

Day 16 and a little about Jared

My biggest accomplishment, I think it will have to be getting through my troubles without going completely off the rails. Life has been tough to me but last year was by far the hardest for me and to get through it and still stay with my boyfriend under all the pressure and stress I would say is an accomplishment. As you should know by now I have a baby boy and last year he decided he wanted to join the world 3 months early!!!! I woke in pain at 3am and thought it was braxton hicks as all the books said I could get them around this stage, boy was I wrong at 5am I was in complete agony and told Liam to go get money for a taxi so I could go to hospital as I just couldn't stand the pain anymore. While he went to get the money I rang my mum told her what was going on and that I couldn't look after my sisters she told me to ring an ambulance so we did. I got to hospital at just gone 6am and finally got some gas and air (great stuff) I was so scared none of the nurses, midwives or doctors told me what was going on at 6:22 my waters broke (after pushing them and forcing them to break which hurt) then at 6:24am Jared was born he let out a tiny cry and was whisked away. I got to see him a few hours later he was hooked up to so many things and in a incubator he was so small he weighed 2lbs 9!!! when he was 4 days old he nearly died they had to massage his heart and give him a blood transfusion (he had a few). I won't describe everything that happened to him but he had a few problems his breathing was the main issue but after 11 and a half weeks he got to come home. So I would like to say getting through all of that and bringing my beautiful little boy up is the biggest accomplishment to date.
Jared-David Now 10 months old
Jared-David a few days old

Day 15

I have to list 10 things that make me awesome I'm not too good at bigging myself up but it's part of the challenge so I have to do my very best.

1. I'm a southerner in my eyes that is pretty awesome :) hehe
2. I make cakes, biscuits, loads of puddings and even dinners all from scratch for people and they do look and taste very good.
3. I'm not sure if this fully counts as awesome but I would be impressed by it I write to people on death row and find out all about their crimes, life and views on their crime. It takes a while but when you get information they have never told anyone it makes you feel happy in a odd way.
4. My dog makes me awesome anyone who has a border collie is awesome because lets face it they are such awesome dogs. (Other dogs are also awesome I can list many but my doggy is a collie)
5. Oh I speak to a rugby player on a regular basis he has even been in my house he plays for the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats rugby league team and has just been picked for the England team. Rugby players are so much more down to earth then footballers.

This is getting a bit tricky now I'm kind of just picking facts that I guess I would be impressed by and think that makes that person awesome.
6. I have a aunt who lives in Florida (Tampa Bay) who I will be going to visit next year super excited about that.
7. I always have time for people and I put my needs last all the time.
8. I can drive that is awesome right?! (Note I don't currently have a car I sold it to buy things for my son and get somewhere to live for my little family)
9. I'm a blogger
10. What makes me so so awesome is that I'm a mum to Jared even if you don't find that awesome my son will always think I'm awesome (he has no choice lol)

That was much harder then I thought it would be, Try it and see for yourself comment and let me no why you are awesome or even do a blog post about it with a link to your blog and I will comment. Thanks for reading peeps xxx

Day 14

Day 14 of the blog challenge and today I'm asked what is on my Ipod?  Well I don't have an Ipod so I will just have to tell you what I have on my Samsung instead. One thing about this question is I'm not sure if it means music, apps, pictures or something else so I will do a little list of music and apps and add a few photo's to the end so you get a little bit of everything and all is covered lol.

Music- The artists I have are Usher, Goldfinger, Aaliyah, Alexis Jordan, Kid Rock, Azealia Banks, The Ramones, Calvin Harris, Conor Maynard, Carly Rae Jepsen, Chingy, Chris Brown, Blink 182, Drake, One Direction, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, JLS, Nikki Minaj, Dizzee Rascal, Eminem, Less Than Jake, Ke$ha and loads more but as you can see I have an interest in many genres of music each song or style of music can reflect to any type of mood I'm in which is what I love about my playlists :)

Apps- It's mainly games my Fav game atm being The Tribez you basically run an island open up more islands build things and it's just highly addictive. The Simpson's Tapped out is another game I have I have only just started playing this can't comment on this too much but so far so good. As I don't have an iphone I can't facetime my sister or my bf when I'm at my mums so I have an app called Tango which they also have on their iphone and ipad this allows me to see and speak to them like facetime me and my sister Trinity play the game checkers over Tango so its a good app to have.

Pictures :) enjoy and see you all tomorrow xxx

Day 13

Ok so today what is asked is do I have regret. This is a question I have been asked a few times (Do I regret getting married at 16 etc etc). I don't really have any regrets because I see it as at the time it is what I felt was best for me and what I wanted to do. When I got married it was stupid I admit that but I don't regret it I learnt a lot about life from doing that and I have become a better person for that. I may have a few problems I'm trying to overcome as a result of my actions but what do you expect if you have read my first post you will understand what I mean (if you haven't read it then check it out). I have made a few bad choices in my 22 years on this planet but I have no regrets what so ever as each and every choice I have made has either made me learn something or value my life more. I personally don't think people should regret anything. Do you have any regrets? I hope not as life is a constant lesson and I see it as if I regret get married then that would mean I would regret meeting all the amazing people I did and living in different places and learning to stand on my own two feet. So when someone next asks you if you regret something then just have a think about the chain affect your choice made. Happy Saturday guys love ya xxx

Day 12

Something that I miss

I miss a lot of things people places and my old figure. The one thing I miss that I wish I could just have a day doing again is being a teenager again. I hadn't nothing to worry about and although I thought I was fat back then I had an amazing body. I miss my friends and the silly things we would do we made up songs, messed about and just had fun a lot more then I do now. Now I have so much responsibility. I have added some pictures you can laugh at and just have a glimpse of my carefree fun teenage times that I miss and the people I shared them days with. Love you all guys and we deffo need to meet up soon. Of course I have so many more pics I would love to share with you guys there just really isn't enough room.

Day 11

The last book I read!!

This book was amazing I loved every word I read. I think it's partly because I have a big interest in this type of thing also when we were on about dream jobs he literally has the job I want!! Christopher has many other books along the same lines (I'm working my way through them). His books help me with my degree as he is also a psychologist so some things he writes helps me with my assignments. I would strongly recommend this book/author if you have an interest in prison life or murders etc. I actually came across his book by accident but I'm glad I did as I have read two of his books and I enjoyed both. It really surprises me how much the criminals share with him. Do you have any book suggestions for me?

Day 10

Tuesday's and weekends are different as Liam isn't at work (unless doing overtime) so we try to do stuff together and have a bit of fun other wise my life is really cbeebies, bottles and cleaning lol.

Day 9

Whats on your life/bucket list

I haven't really got a list as such I guess there are certain things I would like to do before I die mainly seeing places.

Monday, 11 March 2013

Day 7 & 8

Sorry I didn't post yesterday but it was mothers day and all was busy busy.

So day 7's challenge is what is my dream job, I have two dream jobs but one I'm currently working towards getting. When I was 12 I decided I wanted to become an embalmist (for those who are unsure what this is, it's working alongside the dead and preparing the bodies for the funeral and making them look their best) I wanted this job so badly I tried every route to get to do it unfortunately it's a lot harder to get into then you would think. There is a chain of jobs you need to do first and course to complete which are only available if you already work in that business also there is no help with funding and it costs £5000 for just the first stage of becoming fully qualified. So sadly I had to re think what I wanted to do and I want to work in a prison as a psychologist my dream would be to work within the american prisons with some of the worlds most dangerous criminals. People are very interesting and I would love to understand how a killers mind works so for me that would be the best job in the world.

Day 8
Biggest pet peeve hmm this is tricky as I have a few but I guess the biggest one would be shear ignorance I can not stand it when people just completely ignore your existence. Obviously I have a pram what with having a baby and you would not believe how many people are ignorant they don't move they tut and generally are rude. On a bus a few weeks ago a women started swearing at me because I was trying to sort my pram out so a man with a disabled little boy could fit on the bus and also so an elderly lady could sit down. I'm not a nasty person and I would never behave how some people have treated me in the past I just think people need to be a bit more polite manners cost nothing and I'm more than sure they wouldn't like being treated badly. I hope that this counts as a pet peeve. Let me know yours and your thoughts on my blog xxx

P.S still send in your agony aunty questions will post them up soon all our 100% confidential no names mentioned and you will not be judged.

Its Day 6

Today's challenge is to talk about my last random act of kindness. Today me and my boyfriend found some bags of shopping in primark yet the bags were from shoe zone so we went and handed them in. Not a very long story but that was my last act of kindness, I do try my hardest to help others by helping to raise money for Guide dogs for the blind and other animal charity's.

I would like to add that add that this week has been really hard for me I have been very upset and stressed my son has been a handful this week. I'm sure fellow mothers often get weeks where they just wish it could all end? I have spent a lot of time in bed crying I've felt so run down and alone. Sorry today's post is short and sweet but I will be back to normal by tomorrow xxx

Day 5

Day 5 of the 31 Day Blog Challenge

Today's challenge is favorite movies you never get sick of watching. This is easy for me and I would be very interested to see what yours are and if you agree with some of mine so here goes.

1. Austin Powers all of them I can practically say the words to all of the films but I love them I named my first dog Austin (RIP Aust) and it is a film that has more then just comical value to me.

2. Freddy Got Fingered If you haven't seen it then don't let the title put you off it is funny not genius funny but silly random funny which I think is why I like it.

3. The Boy In Stripped PJs It makes me cry every time and I think it is a great film I love how it captures the innocence of the children it makes me angry aswell as the dad really angers me it is a film that can grab all of my emotions.

4. Alpha Dog this is another great film that makes me cry every time, when I first watched this film I spent hours reading online about the true story and the family that was affected. It really touched my heart and it always will.

They are the films I will never ever get bored of watching and weirdly they aren't in my fav movie genre which is horror I'm such a horror film lover and if I was to include a horror in the above it would be hard to choose between 28 days later and texas chainsaw massacre. Please leave some comments I would love to see what your films are and maybe some I won't have heard of so will give me something to watch.

Day 4

31 Day Blogging Challenge Day 4  Best Childhood Memory!!

I have a very good brain that allows me to remember a lot its crazy I can remember things about when I lived in a block of flats in Newbury as a toddler. So I have loads of childhood memories but I guess my best ones were with my Nan, she was amazing gave the best cuddles and I miss her very much. When I was at my Nan's when Gladiator was on the TV I would put my Gladiator outfit on (a carrier bag with the bottom corners cut off and the handles as straps) and climb all on her sofa. We would go on holidays too which were great and in 2000 the last holiday I ever had with her she nominated me for a tiger club badge for being really helpful I still have the badge in it's box. I would dress up a lot at my Nan's wear her shoes and skirts and even her clip on earrings she had (never understood why she had these she had her ears pierced). On a Friday we would sometimes go to a kebab van sam mans which they still have in Newbury. I stayed over every weekend and we would go into town and round to the local shop and we would get some sweets crunchies, cadbury marble and loads more. Some of my other childhood memories are of playing with my cousin Alyssia we would usual argue as I would lose at something lol, I would then storm over to my house then about half an hour later go back round. A very good memory with Alyssia is when our mums were drinking some homemade wine, they then covered us is squirty cream so we had to get a bath which had a huge spider floating in after Alyssia's mum tipped all the toys in. I have so many great things I would love to share with you all but Alyssia would kill me if I mentioned one and the others are sometimes too great to share at the moment.

This post on my blog is for my Nan who I miss so much its been nearly 13 years and everyday I wish I could just have one more cuddle or tell you I love you. Trying to hold the tears back so I'm going to go now bye for today readers xxx

Day 3

What makes me happy??

Its Day 3 and the question is what makes me happy. Many things make me happy and all in different ways.

Jared-David makes me happy, he can all ways make me smile with his cheeky grin. He has changed my life so much and I love him to bits he truly makes me so so happy. Don't get me wrong he can upset me also it's hard being a parent when he is screaming for hours on end and I don't know what is wrong with him or when he won't sleep in his cot meaning he has to share my bed. All of it is worth it to see him happy which makes me happy.

Rosie my Dog she makes me happy just because she is silly and never judges me and she knows when I need a cuddle. Rosie has helped me a lot in life she was there through the violence and we helped each other I love my dog so so much (I love all dogs). There are many other things that make me happy like my boyfriend, sisters, mum and chocolate but the two that make me the happiest is Jared-David and Rosie.

Thanks for reading love you all xxx

Day 2 of 31 Day Blogging Challenge

Its Day 2 and today the topic is favorite quotes. I don't really have any favorite as such but I quote films more then I probably should. So I will right some of them down and what film they are from.

Austin Powers
Shall we shag now, or shall we shag later? How do you like to do it? Do you like to wash up first? You know, top and tails... whore's bath? Personally, before I'm on the job, I like to give my undercarriage a bit of a 'how's your father'!

Name? Austin Danger Powers. Sex? Yes please!

Do I make you horny? Randy? Do I make you horny, baby, yeah, do I?

Freddy Got Fingered
Daddy, would you like some sausage? Daddy, would you like some sausage?

I'm the backwards man, the backwards man, I can run back as fast as you can.

Cheese Sandwich

I hope I get a jobby, Freddy. I've got my fingers crossed... crossed... crossed... crossed... cross... ed.

Billy Madison
Back to school. Back to school, to prove to Dad that I'm not a fool. I got my lunch packed up, my boots tied tight, I hope I don't get in a fight. Ohhhh, back to school. Back to school. Back to school. Well, here goes nothing.

That's it for today see you all tomorrow xxx

31 Day Blog Challenge DAY 1!!

Hello readers I'm taking part in the 31 Day blogging challenge I was told about it by fellow blogger Alyssiarose who is also doing the challenge.

Not much make up and literally done nothing with my hair.

Here are 5 facts about moi

  1. I like to write to people that are in prison either on death row or serving life, they are interesting I do not condone what they have done (all are in for murder). They are still people and you don't realize until you have conversations with them how much prison affects their lives its like they stay at the age that they were when first going in.
  2. I'm naturally blonde, I just really prefer to have dark hair I think it suits me much better but I must add I have a small obsession with dying my hair.
  3. I have a very special little boy called Jared-David he is special as he was born 3 months early and at just 4 days old he had to have one of many blood transfusions and have his heart massaged to save his life ever since then he fought so hard to come home when he was 11 weeks and 6 days old he came home.
  4. At the moment I'm studying Psychology and Criminology with the open university.
  5. Last but not least I have a lovely doggy called Rosie who is a border collie she has helped me through some very hard times in life and I have helped her also.
So that's day one complete I hope you continue to read the rest of the days to come. Bye xxx
